The time is upon us; come one come all for the first time in 8 years, #NORBFEST2021.

For those of you that did not attend the original Norbfest, in 2013 there was a bunch of stupid kids running around in circles, and jamming out to a hundred like they were playing to thousands. Held in the Glasser backyard, Norbfest consisted of 4 bands over the course of a day, inspired by a young Justin "Norb" Kolbek.

Justin was kind, mellow, and non-judgmental. His curiosity was limitless and he loved to explore. Music was a passion for Justin. From the saxophone to the keyboard, and from the guitar to the sitar, Justin was a master of them all. It has been said that where words fail, there is music. The notes seemed to speak to Justin’s soul, and in turn, he loved to share them with family and friends.

In early 2020, Justin was tragically taken from this world. A number of close friends of Justin have now decided to hold Norbfest again, in his honor, with all event profits going to the New Jersey Prevention Network.

The first (hopefully of many) Norbfest will be held from 12pm to 8pm on 8/7 in Hunterdon County, NJ. Please privately message the event host or the band you are coming to see for the exact address. The event will be held in an open field with plenty of parking area. That being said, please carpool if possible to minimize traffic coming and going.

Since this is a charity event, we ask for a $15 donation in order to support the New Jersey Prevention Network and this event moving forward. THIS WILL BE A CASH-ONLY EVENT.

Aside from the awesome lineup, there will be:

Food, snacks, and soft drinks available for purchase (which again the profits will be going to the New Jersey Prevention Network) Local artist completing a work of art live Local art vendors Games (horseshoe, volleyball, beer pong, etc.)

This event is BYOB. If you require seating, please bring lawn chairs, blankets, etc, as there will be none provided and this will be an outdoor event in a large open field.

To all that attend this glorious event PLEASE be respectful of the venue and each other. If you knew Justin, you know he would want everyone to be good to one another and to the land. We would like to have this become a regular event in his name. (Don't be a shithead!!!)

Liability Waiver:

By attending Norbfest, you agree to the following waiver, which is publicly posted on the event’s Facebook page, along with being publicly posted on entrance to and throughout the event.

Attendee assumes all risks and accepts sole responsibility for any injury (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that attendee may experience or incur in connection with attending the Norbfest. Attendee hereby releases, covenants not to sue, discharges, and holds harmless any parties associated with organizing and hosting Norbfest, along with any employees or volunteers of the event of and from any such claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.

Specifically relating to the global COVID-19 pandemic, attendee acknowledges the highly contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assumes the risk of exposure or infection by attending Norbfest, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, disability, and/or death to attendee. Attendee understands that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at Norbfest may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of others who may attend the event or their families, colleagues, or others with whom they may have contact. Accordingly, attendee understands and agrees that this release includes any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of any parties associated with organizing and hosting Norbfest, along with any employees or volunteers of the event, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in Norbfest.

In addition to all other rules and regulations relating to the attendee’s attendance at the Norbfest, attendee agrees to comply with all COVID-related procedures that may be implemented by any parties associated with organizing and hosting Norbfest, along with any employees or volunteers of the event, including, but not limited to, mask-wearing and social distancing requirements and restrictions on certain activities that carry higher COVID-related risk, in order to protect as much as possible the health and safety of all EVENT attendees
